OK. I think I've successfully exported, imported and re-uploaded.

Where am I supposed to see the "Product Code" field with downloaded orders? Do I have to print a different report to obtain this informformation from the order?

Right - first of all:

1) Go to 'Business Settings | Options' and ensure that 'Allow Extended Product Description For Customer Reports' is selected.

2) Go to your products and ensure that the product code is appearing within the 'Report Description' tab.

If it's all looking OK then upload the store and then what should happen is that orders will print the 'Product Code' on the invoices/packing lists, rather than the Short Description.
