    V8.0.3 patch problem

I have just upgraded to 0.3 patch and chose option 3 re the design. Now in the deisgn tab it is not pulling in the CSS so effectively showing my layout without CSS.

Also I got an abnormal error message st the end of the upgrade.

What is the best way to roll back?

    Hi there

Did you take a snapshot before applying the upgrade? If so, try importing it again and this time choose option 2 - which will leave all your templates intact.

The third upgrade option means that any templates you have customised, if they have changed between Actinic versions will be replaced by the upgraded version.

So the trick here is to figure out which templates of yours will have been replaced. If you are talking about CSS there are two possibilities:
    • If all your custom styles were added to the the Actinic Stylesheet, this layout may have been replaced with a default one.
    • Your overall layout has been replaced with a default one, which has no reference within it to your custom stylesheet.
Actinic doesn't replace anything without backing it up first. Check any 'Upgrade' folders within 'Site1' or within your 'Actinic v8' folder for information about any upgraded layouts.

Thanks for that Chris - will have a try. I think we used the default ccs file and added to it. Its fine in content view but not in design view. Still getting to grips with V8 but getting there!

Some layouts where the design is pure CSS don't appear brilliantly in the Design view. This is because Actinic adds lots of extra <span> tags into thw design to support the dotted lines that go around items in the preview. If you do an 'Offline Page Preview' you will have a more accurate idea of how the final design will look.
