    Upload progress disappeared

I am currently uploading a site and when i select to upload, the progress window which always pops up is failing to do so. I have compacted, tested network settings, rebooted and the rest of the normal stuff, yet it still fails to appear. The cursor turns into an egg timer which indicates something is happening, however it just seems to sit there doing nothing with no pop up window. I can also continue to use the various actinic menus while this is happening.

The only thing that has happened, is during a previous upload attempt (where the window was visible) the application timed out and it ultimately crashed.

I have also tried the refresh website option, but nothing seems to be working.

Can anyone suggest any other recommended things i should try? have i missed anything out?

    Hi Lee

Do you have MS access, there are someposts on here with regards using this to repair your database

    Cheers

You could try importing your latest snapshot.

        Hi Darren

Everything is absolutely fine until i go to upload, do you think there could be a database error despite this? It seems to be just the upload part (which may well be working in the background), i just seem to have lost the info window.

        Cheers

If i try to import the snapshot, i now get 2 fatal errors regarding the database and told to contact Actinic. This snapshot was fine yesterday. All i have done today is change the network settings for the new hosting plan, that is all.

I hope this hasn't gone tits up, i have my kleenex ready.

Do you have designer or catalog/business?

Its Catalog i'm working on at the moment. I have managed to recover it now, so that it can upload in test mode to the old domain, as soon as i put the new domain settings in and take it out of test mode, it fails miserably.

I can't understand why on earth network settings and moving out of test mode can have such a detrimental effect. The network settings pass the validation and moving out of test mode into production mode, shouldn't even be an issue surely.

You try and be patient with this software and work through methodically and you get to a stage where you are totally happy. You switch out of test mode and input the new correct network settings and it fails - i may be living in cloud cuckoo land, but that is just plain ridiculous in my eyes.

If the snapshot is emailable then you could send me one and I can see if it is doing the same here.

It should be there in about 2 minutes, halfway thru the upload.

                      Thanks again.

Lee - remove this link as it will allow everyone to download your snapshot.
