Upload progress disappeared

Snapshot imported OK and switched to production mode - can I try to upload the site?

When i click upload, the upload button stays selected (orange) and the cursor changes to timer but nothing appears to happen and no pop up window. I can also do any other action like close or update a product etc. Its as though the software is stuttering on doing the update and still allows (which you never can) other actions to continue as normal.

Its doing exactly the same for me, so whatever the problem is its in the snapshot as well.

Well in some way thats pleasing that i am not going mad. However, it uploads perfectly in test mode. This is the one thing you cannot check until you are ready and sure as day and night, it had to be the only spanner in the works.

Have you tried recovering the database from a previous backup if you have one.

I can't confirm whether its a problem with the new hosting or with Actinic. The V7 site is still live on the old domain, so i cannot go into production mode on that domain and update. I also cannot update the V8 site onto the new domain. So i am stuck not being able to test on either domain in production mode - sheesh!

Hadn't thot about a backup restore, i tend to take the snapshot for granted, will see what ive got.

Im seeing some malformed shopping cart and image errors in XML. Have you made any code changes to the site?

Only very small cosmetic things. Its an identical layout to the v7 site, all i corrected was the upgrade errors. The SC has not been touched.

Im trying a snapshot from a few days ago, before the 8.03 upgrade, see what that brings. Gonna lose some products if it works but so far ive lost nearly a day, grrrr.

Ive found some scripts that have been changed:

Were these changed in V7?

Yes in V7, i have definitely not touched those in V8. The only amendment i recall in V7 was to have the cheapest shipping option show at the top in the drop down box. Any other amendments will have been inherited from the V6 upgrade. I never had anything to do with the shop when it was V6.

I think Ive found it - I imported the network settings for another site and everything now works OK

So it must be the network settings you are using - I would bite the bullet and try an upload to the live site (check orders + suspend first). You will see if it works oK as soon as the html check starts.
