upoading to wrong directory

Hi,

I have got my installation of actinic working ok but have a problem.

When I upload the website it puts the acatalog folder in the wrong directory,it is putting it in the cgi-bin for some reason.

Initially it does not work but if I then move the acatalog folder to the root directory it works fine.

In the network setting I have the catalog url as www.mysite.com so I assume this is where it is supposed to put the acatalog file so why its ending up in the cgi-bin im not sure, anyone got any suggestions please.

Catlog URL should be www.mysite.com/acatalog/

If that doesn't fix everything, go to Web / Network Setup and Export your settings to a textfile. Copy and paste them into a post here (obscure any passwords), so we can see.

everytime I upload either the real store or the test store it puts all the files inside the cgi-bin, the acatalog folder and everything.

I am using a completly new hosting account and the only file in the
public_ html folder is cgi-bin which is empty before I upload anything

quick note on this, it seems like whatever I put in the networks setting it uploads the files to the same place, I have tested different settings and that seems to be the case.....

Is there a config file I can delete somewhere so it forces it to change the settings?

Don't forget that extra dot in PATHFROMCGITOCATALOG

Hi Norman

Big thanks for trying to help me, the point is even if I change the networks settings to what you suggest actinic still uploads everything inside the cgi-bin, what I put in the network settings does not seem to make any difference.

I have deleted everything from my site then tried uploading from actinic with different variations and everything still ends up in the cgi-bin....

I am wondering if the network settings are somehow stuck on a setting I originally did get wrong with the wrong paths etc and now will not change so it just keeps uploading everything to the wrong place....

If I understand it correctly (hehe) the acatalog folder should be in my sites public_html directory, the scripts put in the cgi bin and a index.html file in the public_html directory, is that correct? I know you can change it if you want but I assume that is standard installation.
