Price Prompt in V8?

Am I correct in saying that the price prompt option in products has been removed in V8? In my V7 site I used this box to show customers by how much an item had been reduced e.g. Was £5.99 now only:

If it has been removed (I can't seem to find it) is it possible to show ad-hoc reductions for individual products?

You'll find this field is now in the grid at the bottom of the 'General' tab of your products.

Many thanks. I did see that box but I thought it was drop-down options only. I didn't realise I could manually type anything in it.
