Navigation bar - using one universal for all the site

I read the advanced user guide on this topic but it was a bit obscure.

I want a clean and consistant navigation bar that is universal for all my pages. Not one for brochure pages and one for product pages. This looks messy and inconsistant.

How do I set a universal navigation bar?

I am usuing css clean layout 13

I am quite baffled as to where to begin on this one.

    Please help.

One option is to use the product layout for the brochure page or to use Dreamweaver to create an external design.

you need to add the variables for both sections/products and brochure nav in your overall layout.

      For example see test.pinbrook.net

the left hand nav is consistant there, the site has brochure pages.

The 2 variables I used were

      Top level Sectionlistwith horizontal dividers
Brochure Page list with horizontal dividers

I think this would be fine as long as I can add buttons and pages like 'links'. My current nav is below.

        http://www.masterforge.co.uk/acatalog/test/

        Brochure has:
home, blade options, about us, products, view cart, contact us

        Products page has:
home, top, terms and cond, search, view cart, checkout, contact,

I want a consistant one for both. I want to also get rid of top and put the T&C's as part of the link at the bottom of my page. How would i write the link for this in the footer?

Can I do this if i set the product layout for the brochure page? How do I go about doing that?
