Change page returned to after adding to cart

    Hi,

How do I change the page that the customer gets returned to after adding an item to the cart?

For example, if someone puts a dog collar in their cart, they get returned to the dog collars page but do they really want another dog collar Really it would encourage more shopping if they got returned to the index page (http://www.dfordog.com/acatalog/index.html) do you think? How would this be done please?

    Thanks,

    Jenny

The idea that people would be more likely to buy something else if they are returned to your home page can be easily countered by the fact that enough customers will want to include more than 1 product from a particular page. What if they have 2 dogs?

Things such as best sellers or related products would be far better at encouraging extra sales and something like spend over £25 and get free shipping will work far better.

I always try to let the user decide where they navigate to. Often making changes will help in one area and suffer in another. Let your users decide where they go and help them along the way, don't dictate.

    That's my opinion anyway.
