Customer Message in Component Details

When I place text in the Customer Message box under Component Details for a product, the message used to show up next to the optional component with V7. For some reason, it does not show up in V8. Anyone else experienced this? I'm just beginning to convert my V7 site to V8.

You'll see optional batteries for the first item. I use the Customer Message text to show the pricing of the batteries.

I'm sorry to say this, but it looks as if the variable for this field is not present in the HTML for version 8.

I think until this is fixed in version 8 you will need to use the 'HTML for Name' field to include the prices for your components into the web page.

Thanks Chris. When do you expect this to be fixed? There are quite a few instances of it in my v7 site (www.techinstrument.com) and i'd really rather not have to change them all.

I'm afraid I cannot give an estimate of this at the moment. Problems like this are usually fixed in the next maintenance release, which is weeks away rather than months. I can't give any guarantees about what will be included in each release though. Sorry about that.
