    Customers History?

    Hi,

I am pretty sure it doesn't, but does the new version have any 'order history' or 'recently purchased products' or anything like that when a registered user logs in.

Are there any plugins for this?

As far as I am aware there is no facility to do this in version 8 due to actinic not being database driven online. Thus there is no live connection to what a customer has ordered previously

I do remember a compnay brought out a product that linked to actinic v7 which did allow this feature

maybe someone else can give some more input on this

      Hi Steve,

I brought this up at the design course I did recently at Actinic and it was confirmed that this is one of the top requests by users and may appear in V9.

There was another company mentioned in Actinic's Resource/Plugin area who offered an add-on like this but they have since been removed - not sure why.

www.codepath.co.uk offers an order tracking service (see above page on Actinic site) but I am not sure whether this will give access to previous orders also.

I guess we will have to keep 'prodding' to get this functionality in the next version. It's pretty vital as it's expected by customers if you offer a 'Log-in' prompt and would also lead to more repeat sales.

Strangly they say the plug-in are no longer available... So what's that all about? Anyone know?
