    Rounding problem on Discounts

    Hello,

We are launching a range in Europe next week and we wanted to give a special discount of €10 off per item. However selling prices are translated at €1.5 /£ in the system.

I can only set the discount amount to two decimal places and in £, so I assume I should be setting £6.67 per quantity of 1

When I try and apply the discounts I get rounding. Any way around this ?

It just looks a bit silly in the discount says €10.01 or €9.99 on 1 item.
    Thanks

    Hi Anthony

I'll try this on my default site and post back the findings.

      Morning Anthony

I have tried the same discount settings on my default site as well and can replicate the issue. However, since the discount amount in Euros is calculated by Actinic based on the exchange rate, there might not always be a whole number to display in the cart.
Even if I work it the other way round, i.e, from €10.00 down to the pound equivalent, I have to limit the reward amount to 2 decimal places and there is no way at present to round this up or down I am afraid.

I will raise this as a wish list item (to allow rounding off of discount amounts in the cart) for the development team to consider for future releases.

Re: Dual discount currencies /dual prices

        Thanks for the reply,

Personally I would like the design enhanced to have a variable dual currency price at every stage of the process, and I'm not sure if rounding discounts will help for long. (I will raise this (below) as a seperate note)

For example I seem to be only able to set one price / currency combination and then a 'system wide' exchange rate. Because we now sell in Euro's and Sterling I would like to offer a 'reduced price' just on the Euro currency and not on the GBP. Note: I don't wish to set up customer account groups / prices.

So for example I sell a jumper at £20 and the systems calculates €30 (based upon the exchange setting set. However I then decide just to reduce the Euro price to €29, but still sell at £20 sterling...how can I do this ?
        Thanks

          Hi Anthony

This will not be possible to do. Pound Sterling being the base currency of your store, the discount will be calculated on the prices in pounds as well and not just on the secondary currency. This will have to go to the wish list too.
