Actinic v8.0.3 upgrade has trashed my design!!!

    Hi all

Well I'm not a happy bunny at all...I've just run the Actinic v8.0.3 upgrade only to find when I opened V8 after installation that weeks of my blood sweat and tears have been trashed....AND thats even with the site being designed from scratch in V8!!!

Even importing the snapshot I took earlier doesnt put it right, anyone know how I can get back to where I was before I made the mistake of assuming all would be well with this upgrade?

    many thanks

    Neil

PS...this V8 malarky is becoming a very painful experience!!!

V8 trashes don't know if this will help, but

    http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?t=24964

also if you click on my user name essentialoils I have made a number of post and replies about V8. I have been trying off and on for a month to get it to work. I think I'm almost there, but I'll believe it when I see it. I am actually afraid to make the site live.

I wish you my best. Good luck or don't break someones leg.

Might be easier to answer if we knew what you were importing. Is this a v7 snapshot, v8.0.1, v8.0.2?

Which version of Actinic v8 are you importing to? Catalog/Business/Designer?

Have you tried checking the upgrade logs for details about what was changed during the upgrade?

            Hi Jan

I ran the upgrade patch to V8.03, I'd already upgraded to V8.02 some weeks ago.

This is very weird as when I imported the snapshot this morning it put everything back as it should be but last night it had no effect at all...hmmmmm spooky

So it would appear THIS problem is sorted, on to the next no doubt....ahhhh the joys of V8

            Many thanks

we also had some wierd problems that seemed major when updateing, but were cleared withturning the computer off and then on again, so maybe there is some memory type problems confussing to system

                Hi Chris

Yes there could be something in that I guess but the site still looked trashed this morning until I pulled in a snapshot

                Cheers
