£100 for SSL golden Padlock Edpq

I heard that with using edpq from Barclays you have to purchase the £100 +VAT SSL for your payments.

Do you have to do this with any of the other payment methods?

And do you actually have to use Actinics as £100 seems a lot?

You are not buying the SSL you are paying Securehosting who pass the payment to epdq.

Most of them have some fee attached - the only one without a setup fee is Paypal.

No you dont - you can buy your own SSL cert but Actinics is on the cheeper side.

£100 for this facility is not expensive as it will increase your sales and pay for itself quite quickly if you have just a reasonably busy store. Its hard to pinpoint a definite % on how many more completed transactions you will have, however i think i can safely say that it will increase sales.
