New products show VAT inclusive when they should be ex VAT

I have set my store up to show products VAT exclusive. This is because I have customers from abroad.

The new products section at the bottom of my home page decides to include VAT. This is a big problem because its adding VAT to dollars.

Is there a way to change it, so it shows prices ex VAT?

Just as a check, go to the Content tab, select 'New Products' in Content Tree, select the layout tab in 'Section Details, scroll down to Product and check to see that the 'price Layout' is set at 'Standard tax Exclusive Price' or Use Parent=(Standard tax Exclusive Price).

If it is not set at use Parent then you need to work your way back up the tree to set it at a higher level (Settings/Site Options/Layout/Product).

If you click on settings/business settings/tax, you will find buttons for Simple and Advanced. Click on Simple and then unclick Include Tax 1. This will solve your problem

I have buyers from all over the world so I need to charge VAT for U.K. and E.U. customers but not VAT for the rest of the world. I have managed to set all this out.

This problem is that the new products section on the home page decided it likes to show products with VAT.

This is silly because VAT is not used for dollars. Is there a way to switch this off ?

I dont use the brochure page new products but i see that its not showing vat. The problem lies in the homepage where it shows VAT.

        Baffling problem!

          Hi Leigh

TO fix this problem you need to:
          1. Go to 'Design | Library' and open the 'Prices' group
          2. Open the layout called 'Compact Tax Exclusive Price' for editing.
          3. Right-click on the pink text that says 'Product Price Including Tax' and select 'Edit Appearance'.
          4. Change the 'Use Fixed Layout' field to say 'Product Price Excluding Tax'
          5. Click 'OK', then click 'OK' on the layout and close the library
          6. That should fix it

            There is only:

            Compact tax Inclusive Price

There is no layout 'compact tax exclusive price'
