we have just recently started using v8 and when we try to import our sites from v7 all templates are defaulting, which is annoying as i really want to start using v8 and the new options it brings. i haven't got time to keep changing the sites. is there anything we're no doing or is there anything i can be doing to stop it?

Nathan i am not sure what you mean by defaulting, you can start using it straight away if you have no customised layout,

Change the theme to the theme you had in v7, it will have the new options already.

Or design your V8 then take a snapshot, import V7, then re-import V8 layouts only. V8.03 does this an easier way just import V7 then choose one of the options
