Saved shopping carts will be OK - completed orders which have not yet been dowloaded will not be affected. Current shoppers may ( and probably will ) be affected, but if there is a condition on the website that requires a refresh - they are probably already affected by that condition and unable to complete.

You can see that .save files exist on the website with most FTP packages (they will be in your /acatalog/ folder) and you can also see if any .ord [order] files exist, but you cannot look inside these files.

Active shoppers are evidenced by current .session files - so you can see if there are any on line before you begin your refresh.

I use customer accounts for all orders.

is there any way to find out which account the .save file related to ?

If you can relate IP addresses to customer accounts, the save file name will begin with the IP address with the letter z shown in place of the dots. (example 192.168.0.254 will show as 192z168z0z254z).
