New Products List

Hi

We have recently deployed an internal store application on a v8 installation to one of our customers. The site has been well-received, but one of the key store administrators has a question which has been posed to us.

The New Products List is used on the home page to display recently added products. However, the user is finding that when they edit an existing product, the relevant product re-appears in the New Products listing (even though the product might conceivably have been available for many months, possibly years).

Is there a way to get around this?

Hi there

You might want to check how the customer is editing the product. Are they just changing a price or description, or are they doing something more fundamental (such as changing the product reference)?

Anyway - a quick workaround is if any product is appearing incorrectly on the 'New Products' list - just de-select the 'New Products' box on the 'Marketing' tab of the product.
