    registry/snapshot error

    Errors
    (File ExportSite.cpp, Line 1936) - Registry error 2, key Software\Actinic\Catalog8\Sites\Site1\Catalog - The system cannot find the file specified.
    whats this all about then? snapshot doesn't import.

    backup snapshot taken before XP reinstalled on machine,reinstalled apps, inc V8, now importing sites back into v8.

    first snapshot, different site imported fine, this is the 2nd

    3rd site throws up the same error.

    hopefully this is a software problem and not a snapshot one....

    Looking at the error, its says it can't find site1 - well thats true, I haven't got a site1, I renamed the first site I restored to the client name so I'd have half a chance of remembering whose site it was

      Well how daft is that?

      I licensed another site, called it site1, now my other snapshots import

        How did you rename the site? - this might help diagnose what went wrong.

          it was all done from File menu, Sites

          license first site, import snapshot
          licence 2nd site

          activate 2nd site, (get tick on 2nd site) rename first site
          activate 1st site, rename 2nd site

          then import snapshot 2nd site to get error

            Hmmm - can't reproduce it here.

            Next time this happens, go into the registry and have a look at: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Actinic\Catalog8\Sites

            You can see the site list in there - and you can see whether it looks different to the list in Actinic.
