Is there a way of editing the Packing List layout, or creating a new one?

You can edit the packing list report in crystal reports 8.5 (not any of the newer or older versions).

Thanks Mike, although I do not have Crystal Reports. Does anyone know of a way to edit the Packing List content/layout without spending £400+ on software?

It probably depends on what you want to do with it.

There are some people around who can produce a customised a report for you or you could always try writing your own query in access if you want something more sophisticated.

Jan at mole end software might be able to help you with a customised report. She's on the forum quite a lot so you might be able to send her a private message.

OK, thanks. It was really just to re-align the addresses and remove the email & tel so that the packing list could be used on the outside of goods for despatch. Ideally we'd want to fold the A4 page twice and have it fit snuggly in a standard window envelope. Sounds like it would be more trouble that it's worth, but thanks anyway.

Hi. I experienced the same problem and Bruce e-mailed me a new report in a zip file which removes the tel and e-mail from the delivery address.
If you want me to send it over please pm me with a valid e-mail address.

Adding ProdRef

Is there *really* no way to add the Product Reference to the Packing List report?!!! - without Crystal?

It is easy enough to add it to the Checkout pages (variable is ProdRef) but with 400 CDs in the shop, it is vital on the Packing List!

The product reference should be on the packing list already.

Are you using actinic generated references?

Check the business settings tab, the options tab includes settings for the product reference, you need to not be autogenerating product references and possibly also have the 'hide on website' option unticked. You be able to see from a preview of a report whether any settings changes you have made have worked.
