Live Chat - Implementing into V8

I have quite a complex product with many features and I am considering adding a 'live chat' feature to the site so customers can ask anything they like easily.

Has anyone implemented 'live chat' into their site?

Are the any recommendations which chat to use? I would prefer a free one.

Thats quite a nice feature you have.

I am looking on the skype website and can't seem to find any info on it.

Could you point me in the right direction or tell me how you integrated it please.

      Thanks

You need to open a Skype account first then go into Share | Buttons

I have implemented it onto the contact page but it needs testing.

Could someone kindly test it for me to see if it works. We don't need a voice conversation as my connection is a bit too slow but a quick message will confirm that it works.

Thanks for helping me sort this out.

              I thought It wasn't.

I copied the HTML from creating the buttons and pasted it within the page. Is there anything else that I need to do to get it working?

I am a bit confused because it recognises when my status changes but will not work.

              Any ideas or suggestions?

Double check your web settings in the Skype control panel.

If you contact Skype direct they can do some checks for you to check if the fault is at thier end. I know that they were have problems with some types of website/hosting so it would be best to check with them direct. It should work no problem.

Just looking at your code and it is wrong. It is refering to a non existant actinic page it should refer to the skype id.
