to cope with that, we have a kind of mechanism to ensure no more than 1 user is operating on the same table simultaneously.
the problem will be that the other users may not be able to see the changes made by other users, unless you are using Actinic multiuser, Actinic may not reload cached details - this is more so in product/section changes that order changes.
we set a kind of workflow to reduce the possibility of change at one machine not reflecting at another machine.

i just did a test. it is ok in my case. thanks for reminding.
Is there anyone using external linking to an Excel spreadsheet using 8.5.2???
I'm linking about 20 fields for 3,500 products including 6 user defined variables.
So far, I have not been able to complete an update to a product using Actinic. Or, rather, impatience has got the better of me after about 20 minutes and I close Actinic down!!! I can't even update fragments!
Any suggestions welcome.

We would need to have a copy of your snapshot and spreadsheet to be able to investigate where the problem lies, so I suggest that you raise a support ticket or call in to support (if you have a contract).
I have other issues with this site. It was an upgrade from a customised v7 site and has caused me no end of problems. I have decided to redevelop it from scratch and then link it. With any luck, it will mean an end to my linking issues as well.
