Buying from the home page

Is this possible? We get a lot of support calls over the phone, and where possible, we advise them to buy from the web-site to save our time in the office, and making things run smoother.

So on our Actinic site, ideally there should be a way for the customer to be able to purcahse a product direct from the home page and add an item to the baket with one click!

I've tried this manually by shifiting some code around etc, but it doesn't like it, because it wants a SectionID, SectionName etc

I know this is possible in V7 - is it possible in V8? Any help will be appreciated. We really want to get away from the "More Info & Buy" button thing.

If you want to have a few products on the home page then the Advanced Guide will help.

If you want to be able to order any, then I remember this http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?t=20458 discussion on V7 about adding a box that allowed the customer to enter the product reference and add it to the Cart. The cart scripts haven't changed much in V8 so it should still work.
