Bulk Search Results

Hi,

Does anyone know how to change the number of colums search results are dsiplayed in. Currently when i do a search the results are dsiplayed with 1 product on each line but i would prefer to set results to 2 columns (2 products on each line), as this wil shorten the length of the results page.

Grateful for any ideas.

I don't think that this can be done without quite a bit of Perl patching. The Search Results List isn't a normal V8 List and you can't tinker with the column count as you can with other lists. I'm working on such a patch right now. It will be chargeable, so you'll have to contact me by email if interested.

Thanks for such a quick reply, I may well have to look into that as have tried just about every other possible way i could think of to do this.

I will drop you an emaikl as well to din out more but will let you know if i find any other work around.

I have my patch working now. The column count can be set via a new Variable. It was around 30 lines of Perl and 2 small changes to the Search Results Layout.
