Hi,

I am wanting to install a Skype status button on my new Skype Us page so as it can be be clicked and intantly start a call/message. All I have managed to do thus far is put a Skype image on that takes you to the Skype homepage.

The page in question is:

I did manage to install it but it installed on every content page rather than just the Skype Us page so I quickly scapped it.

Any ideas/work thru's greatly appreciated

Can't help with the Skype but I see that your pages are not formatting properly in IE7 (fine in FF2). See attached.

replace the two occurences of USERNAME with your skype identity, and also obtain a copy of skypeCheck.js keep it in site1 and add it to your additional files.

Have tried the above but again getting the same result, it goes onto every page so I'm assuming I am copying the button html into the wrong file, any more details would be good

If you only want it on one page then place the code into a fragment on the page. If you want it to show on every page then paste it into the page layer in the design view. I assume that you are doing the latter which is why it is not working.

I do only want it on one page, but I don't seem to be able to copy it to the fragment on that page only, what should I be doing?
any chance of an idiots guide?

I think its me being simple, I have the fragment open and I am pasting the html coding directly into the fragment text box but what is showing in preview is the coding, I am being simple and pretty well know I am missing the point! now going round in circles.

and works perfect apart from being on every page the way I keeep doing it, so it must be down to where I am copying it to.

You are pasting it into the design view of the fragment. Put it into a fragment created in the brochure page in the content tree.

Select the ONE page where you want the button in the content tree, right click. choose New Fragment - change type of fragment to text only

In the main body of the fragment general tab

Got it up and running and doing all that it should do.
