I've read of people trying to search for the company 1&1 on the forum and it seems that we can't find any matches when we try it, but when I was looking on the vbulletin website, it mentioned the fact that the forum uses mySql to do the database.
MySql allows a way round this.
if we put in the words 1\&1 into the search bar, guess what, we find all those threads containing the word 1&1 - seems like we need to tell the search that it needs to take the & charcter literally and the way to do that is to put a \ infront of those awkward characters.
just thought some of you might want to know.
