    Country codes, addresses, HSBC....ARGHH

Currently trying to set up HSBC secure epayments on our site. Firstly we can't get rid of the 'seperate delivery address box' (covered in a different thread) but also we have tax set to simple which I guess is a problem. A further complication is that we have customised our own locations to include Mainland UK, UK Islands, Northern Ireland, Eire, BFPO and the Channel Islands. It looks like HSBC wants a valid country code but most of these are UK! If we sell a couple hundred kilos worth of stock to somebody on Orkney it can cost a heck of a lot more than somebody in Dorset. Also, we only offer Royal Mail up to 2kg to BFPO etc. So, we need that distinction.

Is there an answer to this? I'm slightly concerned that we have wasted the £200 setup fee for HSBC if we can't use it.

OK. Do I need to have UK as the country and then sub districts like Islands etc? Will this work for HSBC? Will it use the country code or the district code?

Hi Chris, yes, all sorted now thanks. States all set up and payments have already started coming in so it's all good. It's actually a better setup now than I had before so it's turned out quite well.
