Have to admit, not spent too long on trying to get to grips with V8.

However, almost finished putting the final touchs to the upgrade but having problems with images.

Can anyone help me try to repeat the look of the section images on the main page. i.e Grey box around each image and text with Main heading in white ?

My understanding of a forum like this is to share ideas etc, help other users of Actinic software, and on occasion ask for help. If your reply is the sort of help one can expect perhaps in future I will think twice about doing so.

I am not new to Actinic, just new to V8; and having spent a good 20 hours on various "getting my head around the new approach" I thought a quick question on here would save me from losing any more hair! I was merely looking for someone to point me in the right direction not for someone to write the code for me!

I am not new to this forum either; just not made any requests for help before. Having also spent a a while in the forum trying to find help; I gave in and posted a message.

welcome on board, you have just entered at maybe the wrong time, if you look around this forum you will find a few threads detailing the problems of bad title desriptions, laziness the search for the resolution.

99% of the people here do not work for actinic this is a forum of willing volunters

Your title "Arrrrgggh" are the sort of things that are causing many users annoyance titles like "Products in boxes on the site home page " are actually a bit more helpful and will get you more assistance and will also give better results in the search page

As you have read on the thread I highlighted requests for help need to be a little more clearly posted. A better title and a url would have helped and perhaps you would have gotten the answer stright away from me. As you say you are frustrated with V8 and some of us are frustrated with badly titled posts - as you can imagine many of us scan the posts every day and rely on good titles to decide if we read the post or not.

Dont be put off posting by my sharp reply - hopefully things will imporve now chris has posted the sticky notice to first posters.
