    Quickbooks Merchant Services

    Jeff,
    As per my private email too you. I would suggest that you first contact Quickbooks Merchants services. You must have your merchant account enabled for 3rd party payment processing before you can use the QBMS integration in Actinic.

    Once you have teh merchant account enable you can proceed with the inetrgation. I think your going to need some support assistance to complete the integration. I suggest you create a support ticket :http://productsupport.actinic.com/support_request.html
    so that you can work with the support team to complete the integration.

    No you do not need business. just catalog version 8.

        Frustrated with the lack of help!

        Okay.....I've been trying to get some help trying to configure QBMS to work with my site for about 3-4 weeks now. I've been trying to get help through Actinic's Support System since March 4 2008. They claim, twice now, that they have submitted my inquiry to Actinic U.S. for help. It's been several days now with no email confirmation that they have received the information. Also, I'm having problems with the QBMS registration page http://www.actinic.com:80/qbms-reg/qbms_reg.htm. It seems that every time I enter all the info, I get this error message: Some problems were encountered during the processing of your data:
        Website - 'http://www.mysweeper.com' is not a valid URL


        Brian, could you please help me get configured with this? I fowarded the QBMS information for the registration page already to Actinic. I'm not sure why, in order to use QBMS, that our Website has to have access to an Actinic server instead of directly to our QBMS server for processing. I would really appreciate some help on this!

            Hi Jeffrey,

            I have spoken to my colleague who was dealing with your query (ticket no 139106) and according to our records emails were sent to you on 4th March, 5th March and 7th March in response to all of your emails. One included a document on QBMS configuration with Actinic (I have attached it to this post). It may be worth checking if our emails are going into a spam folder.

              Hi Tracey!

              No.....email in the spam folder is not the issue. I have received replies to all email but the one I sent last Monday. The QBMS configuration is not the problem. Up until last Monday, I've been waiting patiently for Actinic U.S. to respond, as per your email over a week ago. Why they haven't, is a mystery to me. Now, a couple of weeks have passed. I would understand that I'm not one of their "paying" customers but you would think I would have received at least some response that they are aware. I been working diligently in the past few weeks on this and in particular, the last 2 weeks on getting this done. I've been thinking about expanding more into Actinic but after this scenario, I'm not too sure that I want to. All the same, I do appreciate the response!

                  Problem with QBMS configuration

                  I am sorry that your having difficulties configuring your quickbooks merchant services merchant account to process transactions with the Actinic Payment processing plugin for Actinic version 8. There are several possiable reasons for the difficulties. First the process you must follow must be completed correctly and in order. It would appear to me based on the information provided through this thread that you have not completed the configuration properly.

                  To answer your question, Actinic integration with QBMS is set up with a thrid party server. It does not actually process the transaction with your website, the transaction is sent to the Actinic server which then send the transaction to QBMS, this is how it was designed and implemented. You trying to Make the transaction go directly to the qbms server will only delay the proper configuration.

                  If you have your QBMS merchant account set up and you have contacted IMS to enable 3rd party shopping cart processing then you can go to this web page: http://www.actinic.com/qbms-reg/qbms_reg.htm and register with Actinic. Your account will be verified and established on our server and an email will be returned to you with final account configuration instructions.
                  The email will explain how to create a connection between Actinic and QBMS servers. You then configure Actinic software cleint to work with QBMS and upload the changes to your website. Once updated you should be able to test transactions.

                  If you are having trouble with the email which is returned from Actinic After the registration to the Actinic processing sever then you should provide the specific information which is failing.

                  This is a configuration error. Documentation is provided which explains the process and we have created valid connections whitout error using the information provided. This issue is not a bug or error in the software. I will admit that the process is complicated and a bit technical. However your dealing with real time payment transactions in a secure enviroment, you should expect to require some technical expertise for such configuration.

                  I am happy to make this configuration for your website. I will require your merchant account information, a database of your quickbooks software, a database of Actinic software and your email address used in teh cofiguration. If you have any emails received from QBMS or Actinic processing server I will require this information as well. Once received we can complete the configuration. You will be charged our standard consulting rates for configuration. If you would like support on the issue I again defer you to Actinic support, create a ticket and work with Gary Green as he has provided responses to your requests.

                    Alright....I understand all this. The QBMS plugin within Actinic should be working fine. As stated earlier and the problem is.....I can't seem to get the http://www.actinic.com/qbms-reg/qbms_reg.htm page to take my information. I keep getting an error of: Some problems were encountered during the processing of your data:
                    Website - 'http://www.mysweeper.com' is not a valid URL


                    At the beginning of last week, I sent this error message to Mr. Green and he stated that he would pass on to you the information that you would need on the page. Did you receive this info?

                    This morning, I received an email from Mr. Green stating that there's a problem with my server. What?! That's like me trying to do a search on Google and an error comes up stating that "According to our Server, you're Server is causing the issue with your search." Unless, it's my ISP somehow.....I don't know.

                      It could be that your server is blocking responses from the url, which could cause such a problem. I have a few customers running qbms payment gateway using our hosting without error. I can not support third party hosting but if you would like to swicth your hosting I will complete your install and test in our hosted enviroment.

                        Brian,

                        Are you saying that you've receive my info from Mr. Green for the Actinic Server configuration.....account verified and on the Actinic server? If so, I will verify my account setup, since I have not done so in the past couple of weeks because I was waiting for a response that it was okay.

                          It's been a few weeks now and I'm still having a problem configuring Actinic to work with QBMS.

                          When placing an order, I still receive the following error:

                          Error:
                          Merchant does not have an account

                          Press 'back' button twice to return to your shop.
                          after hitting the Next button within the Shopping Cart after choosing QBMS
                          as the pay method.

                          Does anyone on this Forum use QBMS here in the United States?

                            Okay.....here's how QBMS works generally.

                            Normally, the shopping cart user must configure their plug-in with their account number and password plus add an ip server to their account so that when customers go to pay for their goods, the two servers link together.

                            However, Actinic is setup differently. You must use the password Actinic sends you to link to the Actinic Secure Servers. From what I'm being told by Actinic support, is that I don't need to add their Secure Server ip address to my QBMS account. What QBMS tells me is that the opposite is true.

                            My question is, how is the Actinic Secure Server linking to my QBMS account if Actinic doesn't know/show my account information to the QBMS Server?
