    Has anyone got this working?

Now Vista is officially on sale, has anyone tested this with the final release version?

    Thanks

Ask your supplier about Express Update - this is an MS scheme where you can buy now with XP with a prepaid update to Vista.

There will be a fully Vista-compatible version of v7 released in the not-to-distant future.

Keep an eye on the forum for details.

              Compatible or Not?

              Hi

the What's Changed list for 8.0.4 for Actinic doesnt mention if this version is compatible with MS Windows Vista as it was suggested it would be above

Can someone please confirm either way

              Thanks

This is the solution to go for. For a business situation you would be foolhardy to take a PC with a brand new OS. Wait 6-12 months let it settle down and then upgrade to Vista.

                    I heartily agree with this.

There were quite a few Vista changes with 804, but there are some very tricky issues outstanding, which will be addressed by the next maintenance release.

I have the RTM version of Vista running on another machine here and so far it's been very stable. It is however very heavy on resources in my experience so I won't be running Actinic on Vista until Actinic is a lot more stable with it. Stick with XP as the release of Vista is likely to be just as rocky as the release of XP was al those years ago when we changed from 98!

Dual boot is always an option if you want to get an idea of what Vista is like, just stick another drive in or partition it and install. Then you've got Vista with reliability of XP as a backup

And yes Vista looks a lot like IE7 in many ways

To save dual booting you could run your old XP within a virtual PC on your shiny new Vista system (or vice-versa). See http://windowsvistablog.com/blogs/wi...lable-now.aspx
