Related products

I am trying to link related products to many of my products. The manual says to go to the marketing tab and a list of products will appear in the drop down list. I don't get this. When I go to the tab and press the + key I get two options - Not used or search. If I press search I get a window where need to type part of the name of a product in a search field. What am I doing wrong please?

I think it is working as it should, regardless of what the manual may or may not say. Once in the search box if you type in your keyword or code and press search you should be presented with a list of products, just select which one you want from the list.

I thought that would be the case. What do you mean keyword or code. I have over 5,000 products in the system, is there a way i can serch say by product type. If so do you know how.

Does Actinic generate your product codes or do you use your own ones?

You basically have the choice of searching by Product Code or Keyword eg:-

My Great Product - Code BG1

You could search on 'BG1' or 'Great'
