    Hi

    Can someone help me link to a .pdf file please

    I am running V8 I wanted to call up a pdf file from a brochure fragment link
    put the file fred.pdf in the \site1 directory
    set up a link in a brochure fragment to /fred.pdf and \fred.pdf
    but no luck explorer cant find it!

    New to this game. I'm sure its easy, but would appreciate some help

      Can you see it via FTP?

      try using the html command !!<<a href etc>>!!

      or double check it is added to your additional files list in act.

          Well almost working pdf Problem? or Axtinic?

          Thanks guys great tips.
          however I had not included the file in the additional files setup !opps!

          Still a problem though I can link to a .mdi file (Microsoft document imaging) and it automaticaly uploads and opens as expected

          but my pdf file link, does not link or open .. the file is on line and link is correct

          I have tried linking though actinc link url form and

          also embedding !!<<a href=" "></a>>!! in text

            I just checked this below which works fine in a fragment:
            !!<<a href="fred.pdf" type="application/pdf">fred's pdf file</a>>!!

            Can you open other pdf files from web pages on the internet?
            Have you tried other browsers?

              Your right problem solved..
              PDF File opens with no problems.

              (I needed the type=application/pdf)
