Webfusion e-mail Settings + Hosting Packages

I am trying to set up the e-mail settings in Advanced Network Settings. I've tried using "localhost" as the setting for the SMTP Server but this gives the following message when tested:

    Actinic Mail Test completed successfully
    server: passed
    connection: passed
    sockets: passed
    communications: failed
    authorisation: failed
message: SMTP Authentication is not supported by this server!

Webfusion tech support say the server does support SMTP Authentication and that I should use the following for the SMTP Sever: "intmail.atlas.pipex.net", unfortunately, this doesn't work either and gives the following test message:

    Actinic Mail Test completed successfully
    server: passed
    connection: failed
    sockets: passed
    communications: failed
    authorisation: failed
    message: Connection refused

I tried using the Actinic recommended format "mail.<URL>" first but that doesn't work as well.

The e-mail account is working as I can send e-mail to it. Can anyone suggest what I am doing wrong, alternatively, what recommendations are there for hosts that are easy to set up!

A quick search on the forum for 'webfusion email' and I found this:
    http://community.actinic.com/showthr...ebfusion+email

Take a read through that. In short, try using localhost as the SMTP server name and leave the authentiction unchecked.
