    cart summary (item and value) on page outside Actinic

    Hello,

    I am using Actinic v7 and my homepage was created using dreamweaver, therefore, my homepage is outside Actinic. I was able to link all the actinic options (view cart, checkout, advanced search, contact us, etc) and all has been tested and works successfully. My only problem is the cart summary which I would like to have on my homepage. I have read a lot of posts dealing with cart summary but all of them deal with the homepage within Actinic. Is it possible to show the cart summary (item and value) on a page created outside Actinic??? and where do I put the script on my page. I have also checked the Advanced guide but I couldn't find any help.

    Grateful if I could get some help.

    Many thanks

    I posted a reply in the other thread you also posted this in.

    I agree that it makes more sense to have this as a separate thread, but once you've something once there's little point in posting it again.

      You'll also find the javascript references in the header of your primary templates.

      Hello Mike,

      Thank you for your reply and sorry for submitting my post twice. I just thought my email didn't go through. I did what you said and tested it. It works very well but (sorry for the but) ... how can I have the data in a specific area on my page. I have it on the top of the page for the time being. I am not an expert in html, javascript or actinic I must admit.

      Many thanks for your help

        Hi there

        how can I have the data in a specific area on my page
        In the HTML part you would move the following to the position where you would want the basket to be

        Code:
                 <div align="center">
                 <actinic:variable name="CookieCartItemsLabel" />
                 <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
        	         <!--
              	   document.write(getCartItem(3));
        	         // -->
                 </script>
                 <br />
                 <actinic:variable name="CookieCartValueLabel" />
                 <script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
        	         <!--
        	         document.write(getCartItem(1));
        	         // -->
                 </script>
                 </div>
        Please bear in mind, it may be a little different to you, depending on what theme you are using.

        Kind Regards
