Sections and Left navigation

Is it possible to create a store with four or five main sections. Each of these would have it's own lefthand navigation, so for example the electrical section would have a lefthand navigation for all of the electrical products, the gas section would have a lefthand nagivation for all of the gas products, etc.?
I don't really want all of the products listed on the lefthand navigation at the same time.
Any ideas please??

Yes, this is possible. Actinic allows you to have different overall layouts used for different sections. You can have a different section list in each overall layout.

To clone an overall layout, in order to create a new one, go to the 'Layout' tab of a section and select the 'New' option at the bottom of the 'Overall Page Layout' field.
