    Protx and BMS

We use Barclays Merchant Service, purely for the merchant ID now although originally we had all our merchant services with them. Can't remember how much it was to sign up originally as it was a few years, but around £200 and we also had high transaction charges.

We swapped to Protx about 2 years ago, so now we only pay transaction charges to BMS, but it is not too bad and it goes down with time and proving to BMS that your business is worth it. In addition we pay Protx £20+VAT.

This is a much cheaper option than just using Barclays for all the merchant services.
