Error messages moving from View basket to checkout

When you go to place an order on my site and you go to checkout - if you click the link up the top to view the basket the following error message appears :
HTTP 406 Not acceptable

This also happens a lot between screens clicking on the top toolbar.

I've refreshed the website
I've purged files and refreshed
Deleted the whole site on the server.

I'm running out of options....

Can someone please help before I pull all my hair out (and I'm trying to grow it back from when i upgraded to V8)

By the way, I have the latest version of actinic with all the newest patches....

I found this from a Google search

"Access denied with code 406. Pattern match "\\$_GET" at
POST_PAYLOAD"

Could you ask your host if s/he has changed the Perl verbs - Actinic needs GET, POST, HEAD enabled.
