Edit choice drop menu using MS Excel ???

    Hi All

Is it possible to edit the choices from the attributes drop down menu using Microsoft excel ? I realise i can copy the data from the MS Access file into excel and re introduce after the changes are made (remembering to backup) but what i am trying to do is add more choices to the database file by using excel instead of inputting new choices one by one inside Actinic software. This way i could simply copy and paste the choices i have already in excel which would save so much time.

I cant seem to find where the choices are stored on the MDB access file to attempt this.

    Hope this makes sence

    Thanks Keith

        Yes it works perfect

It saved me hours of work i simply exported the product properties table from the Actinic MDB database file as an excel file then using excel i copied and pasted all my products into the sString 1 and sString 2 columns, Then copied one complete row of of all the other fileds and pasted all the way down untill my last product. I then gave each product its own number in the nProperty ID, Nvalue 2 and nsequence field (colums) for example numbers 1 to 64 (this was the number of products i had in this particular instance) the only typing i had to do was typing in numbers 1 to 64 took a few minutes only.

Then when i then imported the file back into the Actinic MDB database file went through the motions and overwrite the original product properties table and that was it. When i went back to look at what i had done in Actinic all the new choices where there listed under the attribute box. Then i tested it on my tempory server obtained today and all works perfect right from selction choice in the drop down menu box to checkout and order receiving. Even the downloaded orders and pricing are correct.

I hope this makes sense as i knows sometimes describing in writing is not the same as showing or actually doing it but i hope you all understand the most part of it

Not bad for an amatuer !

PS IF YOU TRY IT BACK UP BEFORE HAND !!!!!
