Actinic received a network error ....

    Hi all,

I've been away for a while developing my re-seller hosting service and changing all the domains over to my new re-seller home (nightmare!).

When I have transfered my domain name, and set up the DNS to the correct Actinic IP address, I get the below error message when I upload the site:

"Actinic received a network error while merging files on the server. Try again later and contact your network administrator if the problem persists. The server name or address could not be resolved"

The domain name is with my new re-seller account (with the correct DNS settings attached to it for the 'A' Record), but the hosting is with Actinic (as it's already been paid for!)

Has anyone any ideas on the error?

    Thanks
    Simon

    Simon,
If there is a prize for the most confusing post this year, I think you just won it.

You have site hosted on a server that is provided by Actinic - what is the domain name of that site?

You have pointed your (other?) domain at a host from which you have purchased the ability to resell hosting space.

I just don't know what to make of this bit
and set up the DNS to the correct Actinic IP address
Can you be a little more clear about what you have done?

Hmm ... I see what you mean now Bill -- It is a little confusing!

Ok, let me break it down...

I have a domain name (www.cookoo.co.uk), and its 'A' record DNS setting points to my Actinic hosting package.

The site is not available to view (that is, I can't view it anymore), and when I try to upload my site via Actinic Designer, that's when I get the error.

Hope thats a bit more concise?!?

      BTW, what do I win!?

        network error while merging files
this means delete all cat, fil files from both the PC and server and reupload.

if this does not remedy delete cat, fil, generated pl and pm files from both site1 and webserver
