Newbie with a few questions

Hi

Just went and bought Catalog V8 - all is going well so far, I see in the content tree products that I have added and then deleted (ie they have a red cross through them), can I remove them from the list ?, I also see a product with a yellow cross plus sign - is there a purpose to it ?

I think you need to read through the getting started guide that comes with the software, this will answer these questions and the shipping question you asked on another thread.

You can purge deleted items if you are sure you no longer require them - although this will purge all products shown as deleted which may be a problem. I personally tend to leave them there for resurrection at a later point if needed (amazing what you need in 6 months time down the line)

I use "hide" for stuff I think I may need again , thus I can use "delete" to keep things tidy as there's always something that really needs to be deleted

Your problem bugged me for the better part of the day before I found a solution. First make sure the item you want to remove is uncrossed (UnDelete - It won't give you the option to cut if it's crossed), right click and hit cut. This will remove it from the tree.

Housekeeping | Purge | Content is the quicker way to delet ALL crossed items at the same time.
