    Smart theme upgrade problems

    I have just upgraded the site www.militaryfigures.co.uk to v.8.03. At the moment I am just trying to make it look as it did with v.7 before I start trying to add any of the new features.

    I have uploaded a test site at militaryfigures.co.uk/acatalog/test/index.html (I've taken out the www having read another thread about test sites being picked up by search engines from this forum)

    Could anyone help me to
    1. Make the font in the left hand menu bigger
    2. Get the boxes which are at the bottom on the left over to the right
    3. Get the links to the sitemap etc to work

    They are all things I sorted on v.7 but I am having trouble finding my way around v.8 to see what to do.

    Thanks in advance. This forum hasn't failed me yet.

    Happy Christmas!

    You can change fonts within the design tab section. Just click on the font you want to change and adjust accordingly.

    Looks like you sorted out the boxes? and the link to the sitemap works as well?

      Thanks, but are you looking at the test site? I haven't managed to sort anything yet. I know you can change fragment text etc. like that but doesn't the size of the text in the left hand menu come from a css file?

        Locate ActinicStyleSheet, from the drop down menu in design mode,

        the font is defined by actxxsmall

        make this bigger

          Thanks Jo

          I think I have found the right bit, but it is already at 12px - inherited from amendments made to css in v.7. There is nothing smaller than 12px in the part which says it is for all layouts (ie. before you get to the css specific to to the new v.8 layouts).

          The bit I am looking at reads:-

          .actxxsmall{
          font-size:12px;
          color:<actinic:variable name="TextColor"/>;

          Any idea where I am going wrong here? I am feeling a bit frustrated not being able to get back to where I used to be on the v.7 site!

            I had to go to militaryfigures.co.uk/acatalog/test/acatalog/ to get anywhere.

            It looks as though you will have to go into actinicextras.js and look for the YahooSections code - change the class assignment in there to the larger size (i.e. if it is actxxsmall, change to actxsmall etc).

              Thanks. I'll take a look at that later. Anyone got any ideas on the other two problems? I know the moving box thing has been covered in the v.7 forum but I don't understand why it works in v.7 but not in v.8. I can't help feeling that the sitemap etc problem should be simple to fix but my flu-filled brain just can't cope at the moment!

                Hi there

                2. Get the boxes which are at the bottom on the left over to the right
                What you would need to do, is to go to the "Design" tab, select the box which you want to move, in the layout code, you will see the content, simply click on the yellow circle icon with the arrow pointing up, this will go to the parent layout, so do this until you see "Layout Code - Works Best with Smart". Here in pink, a layout would be selected, simply highlight and cut, then paste to where the other box on the right is.

                3. Get the links to the sitemap etc to work
                I have checked your test website, and the sitemap hasn't been generated, so I would check in "Settings | Site Option | Links", that "Description of Site map", is filled in, also "Include Sitemap Navigation Icon" is set to "TRUE".

                Kind Regards
