when upgrading, is there a lsit of affected items

I've just upgraded from v803 to v804 and a couple of times, it told me that a standard layout has changed, I've chosen to "keep my own version but also file a new version somewhere"

Is there a list of "problems" like this stored somewhere, this way, I can work through the list comparing my version with the latest and see if I have to fix my version somewhere.

I know theres a list of Perl modules that the system has changes, just wondering if the system layouts are recorded anywhere?

if its not, perhaps this is one for the wishlist.

    Hi Kevin,

Have a look at "C:\Program Files\Actinic v8\Upgrader", in there you will see a folder (maybe Site1), double click on it, and you will see a log file. Also within the root folder of v8, you will see folder of "Backup" or "Upgrade"

Let me know if this is what you was asking for?

    Kind Regards

Its getting closer but I don't think its close enough,
      I have a file called "TemplateUpgrades 8.0.4.0.0.0.GMVA.log"

but when I look at the contents, the lines state thay are either "unmodified" or "new file" but I can't believe it, I know that I've altered things so I'm expecting to see "modified" or something. - I've only got TWO "new files"
      1) ShipControl\Act_SimpleShippingTemplate.html
      2) ShipControl\Act_ShippingSelectTemplate.html 0
all of the others say "unmodified"

I have other directories "SiteUpgrade" "Original" etc and also the export log files, but I know I said "retain my version, but file a new version"

Old habits say - apply the upgrade, take an "educated guess" (stress the educated word) as to keep, apply etc, and then afterwards, go and do a compare of the new to the modified but unless I can remember which layouts and files were upgraded, then I can only guess.

As part of the upgrade, actinic asks me what action to take when it meets a conflict of layouts - its this list and the action I take that I'm looking for.
If I havn't changed it, then I have to assume that messrs actinic know best ( now there's a statement for the other forum readers ! )

Yes quite correct on both counts, Taking the latter, If you haven't changed anything Actinic should the layouts for you. If it was based on an Actinic theme and has been changed slightly, then there shouldn't be a problem.
