How to add an 'Under Construction' page

I am new to Actinic and having a couple of problems that I can't find answers to.

My URL used to forward to my ebay shop. Now that I am constructing my Actinic store it points to an Actinic page that says 'You are seeing this page because you have not uploaded your store'. Instead I'd like it to point to an 'Under Construction' page that has a link to my ebay shop.

I have drafted a simple page in Word and put it in my Actinic web space using FTP (well I hope it have - it is the first time I've used it).
Now I'm stuck - I don't know how to point the URL to this page instead of the Actinic one.

    Does anyone know?

You can set up a redirect in your server control panel or even the .htaccess file to point to the temp page .. an easier option would be to simply copy and paste the text into a text fragment and place a link through to your ebay shop... another other option would be to call the temp page index.html and upload it via FTP to the root of the website ... when anyone browses to your website the index.html page is loaded by default and will bypass your Actinic store

I changed the file name to index.html via FTP and it works.
Thanks Jonty for your help, especially today!
