two quick questions

on this extended product page the product reference is displayed.

how can i make it not to display without affecting the functionality of the extended info page

also how can i add the add to cart functinality? (without changing my design)

To remove the product reference you can do it either in 'Settings | Business Settings | Options', under 'Product Reference' select 'Hide Product Reference in Online Catalog' and click on 'Apply'.

In v8 to add the cart functionality to all 'Extended Info' pages, go to 'Settings | Site Options | Extended Information', against 'Extended Info Page Design' click in the space that shows the current layout and from the drop-down select 'Includes Add to Cart Button'. click on 'Apply' and you should be able to see the changes by clicking on the 'preview' button.

thanks for your reply.

my problem with the extended info "add to cart" is that i want to use the page that i have created for the extended info.

i just want to add the functionality of the add to cart.

i assume that i would have to alter the "add to cart" extended info page that already in actinic with my modifications but is there anywhere specific instructions of how to modify an existing extended info page and add the functionality? (as it would be quicker for me and less messy)?

Go into 'Design | Library | Layouts' scroll down to 'Extended Info layout', click the + to expand and double click on 'Includes Add to Cart'. This will give you the code for the layout with the add to cart functionality.

You will have to compare this with your existing one and add in the bits required for the cart functionality. Have attached a sample of a normal info layout displaying name and info left of image, which has the bits required for the cart added in.
