Can you help find my photos?

Chuffed with my own progress on building my first site I've started to invite a few others to see admire my handywork....only for the brave ones to tell me they can only see 10% of the photos! Can anyone give me some speedy help?
The images I'm using on my 'choose from' pages are ALL ok, but when they click through, they are just see the little red-cross in the box. If they click through to the Extended info page, then all is OK again.
I never noticed because it works fine on my machine (wheere the images are on my hard-drive). I'm guessing its something simple I'm doing (or not doing) but can't find anything in the help sections or the knowledge section. The bizarre thing is the (very) odd one works.

Have a laugh yourself at www.hohobird.com and pick for example 'grandfather clocks'.
    Thanks in advance!

This is the problem - they need to be in the site 1 folder not my documents.

Thanks Malcolm. All my photos are filed away deep in mydocs so could be the cause....but how come some are OK? I think if you look at 'grandfather clocks section', you can see the different clocks, its just when you click on one of those you get the red x's. I've looked in the site 1 folder and NONE of my images are in there. Any further help / understanding appreciated! PETER

Actinic can pick up some depending how you have configured your site but to make sure that they are all picked up its best to have them in the site 1 folder. Also if your images are not in the site 1 folder then when you do a snapshot it will not include your images.

if you do a forum search on images and where to keep them you will find loads of posts where people describe how they lose their images.

For an easy life put all your images into site1 and update the paths pointing to the image - you will never see a red cross again.

If you prefer to keep your images in my docs be prepared to have to put in extra time and effort to ensure actinic keeps up with you.

Thanks Jo & Malcolm. I know what I'm going to be doing for the next few days...... But better to find out now rather than after 300 products added. Thanks for your generous help.

Or even worse if you need to restore from a snapshot
