    Explorer V7 Logo Strikethrough Problem

    Products, checkout,contact us, etc headings - go straight through my Logo on explorer V7.

    My logo is fine on Explorer V6 but on version 7 the above headings go through the middle of my Logo. Is this victimization? - is it cos I is Scottish?

    Thank you
    Hugh

    Could we have a URL where the problem is evident?

      Obviously it's highly likely that it is something related to being across the border ( ) but can you post a URL for us to see the problem to make sure?
      It sounds like it's possibly CSS related.

          This is another example of the log height exceeding the preset height of 63 pixels.

          You need to go into the Actinic Stylesheet (Design tab, select using the dropdown pagetype selector). Around Line 255 (from memory) you will find the page_header settings where you will need to replace the 63px value for height.

          I highlight the 63px, right click and Insert Variable "BrochureLogoHeight".

            Hi Bill,
            Thank you for the solution, unfortunately, it does nothing. I am sure I must be doing some thing wrong. I am not sure I fully understand your reply/solution.
            Thanks
            Hugh

              Bill is referring to to modifying the Actinic Style Sheet. In Design tab Select Page Type to be Actinic Style Sheet and find:
              Code:
              	.page_header_content	{
              		width: 762px;
              		text-align: left;
              		height: 63px;
              		}
              change the height px to suit your logo.

              You could also replace the '63px' with the variable BrochureLogoHeight so that if you change your logo height it will automatically change the css.

                And just to cover all the bases - people who do not use Actinic Brochure pages can make use of the CompanyLogoHeight variable (usually the same image, but on the shop/section pages).

                  Explorer 7 strikethrough problem

                  Hi,
                  Thank you for both replies yesterday, neither of which work! Firstly, it is not possible to change the 63px setting, and inserting BrochureLogoHeight does nothing. I have no idea where to find Shop Section Pages, so no success there either. Luckily, I am growing rather fond of my strikethrough, just as well it looks as though it is here to stay. I am sure the problem lies with me, and the lack of technospeak knowledge of Actinic.

                  Yours from the asylum,
                  Hugh

                    Paste the changes you have made in here so that they can be seen, theres a very large possibility that you have implemented them incorrectly. This is a regular issue and has always been solved by following the instructions in the past.

                      Hugh,

                      You have probably been misled by the stupid double display of the Stylesheet content that Actinic inexplicably built in.

                      Although the top screen is where people woould intuitively try to make their changes, this is not possible. Changes need to be made in the lower more colourful presentation of the CSS.

                        Hi,
                        There are no changes, thats the problem. I have followed the intructions, except for the shop section pages I have no idea what or where that is.

                          Thank you very much, at last,it works! Bill, one further question, if I may, you clearly have all the answers, might I trouble you for Fridays Euro Millions Winning Lottery Numbers?

                          Thanks again,

                          Hugh

                            If there are no changes then you haven't done as suggested and your problem will prevail. In simple terms you have something that is a certain size and the place you are trying to put it in is too small, so it messes up. Imagine trying to get yourself into some trousers that are 2 sizes too small for you, as you pull them up your legs to try and do the button up, something will have to give. Your site is doing exactly the same.

                              Hi Lee,

                              Thank you for your input, my strikethrough has gone,yippeeee! I must say I found the trousers metaphor a little spooky. Being from Scotland I always wear the kilt, but please no kilt metaphors.

                              Many thanks to all,

                              Hugh
