Add to Cart within Popup Window

How can I add an 'Add to Cart' button within the Extended Information Popup?

If you do a search of the forum for add to cart and extended info page, you will see this discussed quite a few times.

Basics are to assign 'Includes Add To Cart Button' layout for the extended information page for the layout of the extended, which is a choice option at that level.

Adding an Add to Cart button in the Extended Information Popup page

Read all 461 knowledge base info pages and searched Forum. Can not find what you refer to or the infomation on how to add an 'Add to Cart' button in the extened Information popup page. Html you refered to do not work.

Please supply forum link/s or knowledge base reference number/s

Don't know how you "searched" but Search | Advanced Search

then Search: Key Word(s): "add to cart", "extended info" ; Forum: Actinic v8 Support and child forums

gave me 20 threads to play with.

This is not actually anything advanced under v8 and is part of the extended information tab options, so...

Within the Extended Information tab of the product concerned, click the Extended Info Page Design drop down and select the bottom most option called "Includes Add to Cart Button"

That will place the add to cart button for the product into the extended info page.

Ah, the problem here is that the cart then comes up in the small info popup window, not the original full-screen page. Due to the small size of the popup window it look messy and in any case, the popup window should dissappear after clicking the BUY button within it and the cart should be displayed in the original parent window beneath.

Any idea how this could be achieved?

Dont use the extended as a pop up page and keep it within the same window, and rebuild your extended info layout the same as your main page.

This bit is covered in the advanced user guide and discussed in the forum.

I thought you might say that, just a real pain that a simple change in functionality requires such a drastic rebuild. I like our small popup info pages and don't really want to open a new full page.

Well, I guess at least it's possible to change it, more that we could have done in previous versions.
