Add to Cart Button on Sub Section

I am in the process of creating an Online Store, currently at the test stage.

As the site will eventually contain hundreds of products, I have lots of Section pages within Section Pages finally linking to individual products, i.e.

    > Main Catagory
    > 1st Sub Section
    > 2nd Sub Section
    > Product

Is it possible to have an Add to Cart button on the 2nd Sub Section, where the list of products are displayed?

The link to the page I would like the Add to Cart button is here:
    http://trials.actinic.com/trials/tri...e_Systems.html

Any help would be most gratefully appreciated!

You can put product duplicates into the parent (2nd Sub) section.

Thanks for the quick reply drounding.

I tried your suggestion, however, doing so lists the full product details within the 2nd subsection - I edited the description etc, but fields such as related links are still displayed which is not ideally what I was after.

I would have thought that there must be a way to insert an Add to Cart button on a given page and link it to a chosen product, even if it means doing so manually?

You can modify the selections on the duplicate to have no links and reduce the description.

Alternatively you can user an add to cart from anywhere on the internet button - mentioned in the AUG page 79.

I saw the cart from the Internet button, but dismissed it originally. It now looks as though this may be the only way to achieve what I want to do, despite the fact it will mean manually making hundreds of links which seems an awfully long winded way of doing things.......

But duplicates should still be able to do what you want. If you want to change the layout or disable some portions of the layout you can do this with a 'block'. (From memory: DuplicateIndex>0)
This thread from about post 39 or so on could help:
