I've just been hit with this one on 9.0.2. After a couple of wasted hours of checking products, looking at the tables in Access, none of which contained any obvious reference to the paths, I gave up and did a website refresh. Hey presto, problem gone.

Re-examining the tables, I see the Filelist table contains escaped characters, so my network path was encoded %5C%5Csomebloodyserverorother%5Cimages%5Cblah.jpg. Not the most obvious string to be searching for.

I can't say I'm entirely pleased that Actinic still haven't expanded the error message for this. Come on guys, you said you were thinking of improving the error messages. What happened?

However this only works well where there are a few conflicting filenames to find. If there are lots then it's a time consuming process.

I think rather than Actinic warning you on upload that there are conflicting filenames and not telling you where, it shouldn't allow you to enter duplicate filenames in the first place as it uploads everything to the same folder. It could give you a warning when you set up an individual product that the filename exists and to rename it, or similarly list the issues when doing a spreadsheet import. Many an hour has been lost trying to locate these errors.
The thank you button just isn't enough right now!
