    Webfusion Hosting V8 Catalog

I'm sorry to have to return to Webfusion hosting but after 3 days and trying all the suggestions I can find on the forum I still can't upload my Catalog (V8). I have been using Actinic for about 4 years now and always hosted with Webfusion, I have existing sites running quite happily. Whatever is the problem it must be to do with the new hosting platform. Any advice welcome.

In summary I have the following situation.

I can run the wizard and it passes fine.
When I try to run the upload or refresh I get the error "unable to run cgi scripts...." this error message is well documented else where.
If I ignore this error and continue the upload I get the "unable to merge files" error again well documented.

In summary I have done the following.
Network settings as attached which seem to be inline with all the best suggestions.
    Set acatalog permissions to 777
    Set cgi-bin permissions to 755
    Turned off my firewall
Highlighted the homepage when performing an upload

    I await your thoughts!

    Regards

    John

The FTPPATHFROMCGITOCATALOG looks wrong. I would remove that and just leave the field empty.

You reference the mail server as localhost.webfusion.com

localhost is used on its own without the domain qualifier to refer to "this computer" it is the same as 127.0.0.1 IP address. I am surprised you are passing the mail tests with the domain information appended there - I would remove it.

      Fixed - Hmmm

2 Days after sending an email to webfusion requesting some advice they tell me that my ftp server name as per my welcome email was incorrect.

And that they also have has issues with their ftp servers for the last 2 days. I have made the changes to the correct ftp server - ftp2 and the site has now uploaded fine.

However the post appears to be a good list of what to do!

        my welcome email was incorrect
They have been doing this alot recently - all the welcome emails seem to be showing ftp rather than ftp2.
