    Support Request

We at Elevology, Inc. are looking for an actinic specialist who has experience with Actinic Link POS, Quickbooks POS, and Actinic v8. A client is having an error linking from Quickbooks --> Actinic, and the documentation was unable to solve the issue.

We're looking for someone who we can contract to fix the issue, and we need it done yesterday.

Please contact us at info@elevology if you are interested.

    Thank you.

      Bruce,

We did contact Brian Johnson with Sure Solutions.

The site is complete, we just need to synch it with a Quickbooks Point of Sale company with 14k products.

Perhaps someone with the overseas support staff (we are based in Texas) or a freelancer can help us with this issue.

      Anything would be appreciated.

        Trey,

Sorry to hear that. Can you tell us what are the error messages you get and what has been tried so far so that I can get someone to look at them for you.

        Kind regards,
        Bruce King

Essentially, the problem is that while we are able to synch from QB --> Actinic with a test database, and even import products, the live Company profile causes the Link software to simply stop responding after a connection is made.

We've narrowed it down to something on the source products database, since importing all of those items into the test company causes the same problem there.

There are around 15k items in the source database, and so far I've been able to make several subsets of that database work. It seems like the software cannot handle that many items, but we've been told it can, and it may just be one or two errant entries.

A Quickbooks expert has looked at our products database and could not find error, but they were not familiar with the acinic software.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

          EDIT:
We got it to synch with ~5k items, I'm starting to believe that it is incapable of transferring more than that, can anyone confirm/deny? I've been eliminating possibilities up until now (removing columns, etc) and everything seems to indicate this.

We are awaiting the csv file export of the items from QuickBooks Pos. The symtoms seem to indicate that you are importing all products into the Actinic software in a single section. This could causes problems as you may overload the section and this could cause Actinic to fail. The other possiability is that you have illegal characters in the product refernce number which will cause the import to hang.

In help you will find this information on Product Referecnces: Your references can contain alphanumeric characters as well as (- hyphen) and (/ forward slash).

The following characters are invalid, and should not be used:

            ! " ' : _ | % *

If you use the illegal characters the import will hang.

I would suggest that you import the products from the item list. If there is a problem you can view the error log file created with the import to address the issue. Once the products are imported you can move the products too the sections and sub sections as needed and then make the link connection.

Change link to only update the inventory values for typical operation. I am fairly certain this should help you resolve the issue.
